Our Morgans are family raised, played with, ridden and enjoyed by all of us in the Campmans family and as a testament to their dispositions, they are forgiving, gentle and surefooted with the kids and beginners, and yet are spirited, graceful, energetic mounts with an experienced rider who asks for their full talents to come forth.
Our Morgans we have sold are treasured by their new owners as family friends, competitive sport horse and western working stock horse mounts, pleasure and recreational riding partners, along with contributing to the Morgan genetic pool as breeding stock in other programs. We stand behind our Morgans and offer a 30 day full money back guarantee on any horse purchased from us.
"Anything beautiful cannot be forced" has been a quote I have carried with me for many, many years; and I seek to continually educate myself to this day in methods that help me present my authentic self to my horses each and every time I seek them out. Following both talented Vaquero hands & natural horsemanship mentors, including many friends and mentors, who have all helped take my horsemanship, relationship and communication with each one of my horses to a much deeper and more meaningful level ~ and to the horses themselves who have taught me through experience that lightness comes from letting go...which has evolved into what I offer through my Guided by Equus program.

At Butte Morgans, we usually foal between the months of April-June and then turn our mares and foals out for many months of bonding and growing together on summer & fall pasture. Our foals are introduced to humans right from day one in a gentle, nurturing way similar to that of their dam, so they understand right from the start that the human is part of their herd. As yearlings and two year olds, they are placed in different herds and granted as much pasture time as possible for our area, while having continued interaction with the human part of the herd for trimming, sporadic groundwork and general orientation and connection. By the time they are 3 or 4, essentially if they have been in our herd from day one, we lead them up alongside a fence, climb on bareback for the first time and ride away! While this is a very simplified explanation of what we do, it is essentially no more than building a trusting, two way relationship from the start that enables the very uneventful first ride. From there, it is all about building on that relationship and experiencing everything we can to educate and give the horse confidence, while maintaining a light, playful spirit and heartfelt connection.
