Gratitude comes in many forms, but can be an anchor in our life in order to enjoy the good and roll on through when the bad shows up. In order for it to become an anchor in our lives, gratitude is created through practice...much like brushing your teeth. There is a long term health benefit to both! Gratitude allows us to move through situations that may feel very uncomfortable at that time, however, keeping gratitude present in our view on a specific situation gives us something to hold on to in order to keep our heads above water during that time. Gratitude doesn't have to be an extended process...in fact, the simpler, the better. You will find that once you commit to practicing gratitude on a regular basis, it will begin to get easier and you will more automatically move into it. As you move into feeling it more and more, gratitude will then show up in more and more of your reality. This was the wisdom from my mare Fancy for me yesterday, as I sat there wondering "how is it that I have so many horses, many of which are just eating hay and raising foals?" Fancy presented herself to me straight on, as if to say, "We are all here for good reason! Being thankful for us will allow you to switch your lens, like you do on your camera, to see this from a different perspective...".
