Apache Legend invokes the soul wisdom of YEARNING (to have an intense feeling of longing or wishing for something; typically something that one has lost or been separated from)

Apache Legend was an Appaloosa gelding known as Sam. Sam, as a name, means ‘God hears’; ‘God has placed’.

The HorseWisdom Invitation

The legend of the black obsidian stone known as Apache Tears tells the story of mourning for healing loss and sorrow. According to the legend, a group of Apache warriors, upon realizing the US Cavalry had pursued them to the point of being trapped up on a mountain, wheeled their horses around and, rather than facing a gruesome death at the hands of their enemies, rode their horses off the edge of the mountain. The women who discovered their beloved husbands, fathers, sons and brothers dead at the bottom of the mountain shed tears upon tears for them; mourning the death of their warriors and the loss of their fighting spirit. As their tears hit the ground, they transformed into the translucent black obsidian stones known as Apache Tears. According to various sources, Apache Tears hold a strong energy of grounding, compassion and forgiveness for helping us to learn & embrace important soul lessons. They are sources of ancient spiritual knowledge. It is believed that in the same way that the Apache warriors recognized their mortal defeat and courageously chose a leap of faith to preserve their spirit, Apache Tears bring wisdom granted in the face of dire situations to help guide one through loss into deciding the right relationship course of action based on preserving one’s sovereignty of spirit.

Obsidian, in some circles, is thought to be a gemstone connected to the sign of Sagittarius; of hope, adventure, higher learning, exploring beyond boundaries , freedom and the power of prophecy.

December 1, 1986 New Moon at 9°Sagittarius where once upon a time a 7-year-old child self wishes nightly upon a star for her own horse in the SEARCH FOR HEALING OF INVISIBLE BURDENS AND THE FINDING OF AWARENESS THROUGH THE OPEN INVITATION OFFERED BY COSMIC FORCES

Playful, exuberant, spontaneous, and elusive, you are restless under constraint, with all of civilization representing constraint. Desperate to be free. When not held down, you have spectacular abilities and affinities. But when bound by time, you become abrasive and provoking. Temperamental in extreme ways. Aching for free movement in a vast territory. Drawn to every extreme that exists. The body and soul of one who can never be identified, tamed, narrowed. You are the one who knows how the deep Earth is surging with volatile currents, and these bear all hope and promise if they are followed with open arms. The one who shows everybody what life is like when it lets itself go and contagiously ripples with permission and encouragement for each and all to come out and play and explore the far edges, and even perhaps over those edges into the greater wilderness. Claiming the allegiance of those whose wildness is no passing whim, but the only viable way.

Knowing there is something we need to do, to realize, and/or to resolve, we are eventually guided to it, and finding there is so much more to learn along the way. Constantly being invited to embark on journeys and adventures. Refusal of the invitation won’t make the offers go away, but will actually cause them to pursue even more. The way out of this is to give into the adventure, for it is actually the heart that is calling, and the true self that wants to be found. Finding of one thing and as you behold it, it becomes a symbol of something far greater. Giving of the self over to it, to learn anything and everything through the experiencing of it. This is the universe’s gift to you, as well as your gift to yourself. The profound gift of acceptance of the mystery, and the allowance of hoping and wishing for what is to come to be the force that empowers and guides us through the journey.

Virtues: This Energy Release Point empowers the function of receiving inner clarity and letting go; surrendering that which no longer serves. It speaks to the Universal Principle that All is Rhythm. We receive and let go. We take in and we move out; everything is rhythmic and everything has an ebb and flow. When we seek to control or stop the rhythm, the sequence of the Divine order of things seems broken, and chaos ensues. Unblocking and activating this Energy Release Point activates a return to balance by strengthening clarity of the concept of detachment, of releasing and letting go to find unity and centre.

Disharmonies: Lack of clarity; feelings of loss and longing stemming from childhood; difficulty with letting go and moving forward; grief and sadness; treats loss of consciousness.

Virtues: This Energy Release Point embodies our journey into our hearts - the frontier and unexplored territory known as the borderlands. The journey into this transition zone cannot help but create transformation - for in the act of undertaking the journey itself one is transformed through the encounter of the unknown. As a gate point, one is empowered to come and go at will understanding the appropriate boundaries in relationship to the sanctity of the Heart and sharing oneself with others. Qualities of compassion, connection, warmth and Light are accessed and bring the perseverance to proceed onward with the journey. Unlocking the gate to this inner heart space signifies a profound turning point for the one willing to pass through and transform pain and hurt into blessings of peace and calmness. Unblocking and activating this Energy Release Point can assist in healing the Self from trauma and betrayal.

Disharmonies: Closing the heart in self protection from the pain of intimacy; feelings of being stabbed or shot in the heart due to betrayal or painful separation; projecting old pain onto the present; heart pain; sadness; shock; restores balance between body and mind.

Going for reminders, facsimiles, totems. Hungry for proof that it is there, that it is possible. Alone forever. You are deeply seeking the other side of yourself, the inner partner, the true motivating spark. You have gotten lost in the dark, identified with the one who needs and lacks, the one who is broken fragments of experience. But you are hot on the track of any signs that your love essence can be found in another, in a situation, or within yourself. You search everywhere and come up empty. The one inside will be there, when the outer versions cannot sate your hunger, and as a last resort you feel into your own solitary spaces, willing to meet whoever is there and love them with all your heart.

Everything is completely open to the possibilities of change. Here is the realization that we are not limited by the seeming restrictions of memory or the past. This is the opening up of new potentials in seemingly closed forms. The ability to look closer and closer at things, and the seeing into of more and more information that unexpectedly comes forth. The force and intensity of our desires that awakens within us the need of finding a way to consciously fulfill them. Realization of the spiritual importance of giving a way for what we have inside of us to be given a form of expression, and this becomes a form of self-fulfillment that inherently furthers the evolution of all involved.
